Most blood test results are usually returned to the surgery within 2 working days, some often sooner than this. You can chase your test results by completing the Test Results triage.

Alternatively, you can telephone the surgery after 14:00 for results of blood tests, urine specimens and other swabs. If you have NHS App access, you can view test results online.

We regret that confidentiality requirements do not permit us to disclose results to a third party, even if it is a spouse. If the member of staff is in any doubt as to whom they are speaking, they are authorised to refuse the request.

Cervical smear results are automatically sent to the patient (unless a specific request has been made for this to be avoided).
