Extended Hours

Posterngate Surgery is open on Monday and Thursday evenings for an extended period, with a GP and a practice nurse each offering appointments.

Out of Hours Service

If you are calling the surgery when we are closed and require urgent medical assistance which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, from 18:00 to 18:30 Monday to Friday please hang up and dial the out of hours service on 0300 123 0762.

After 18:30 Monday to Friday until the surgery opens and on weekends, please dial 111. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

If you have a life threatening medical emergency when the surgery is closed, please dial 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute as an emergency.
